Ada is the person most woman strive to be. She's a mother of 3 (even though you can't tell because her body looks great!), Chief of the Domestic Violence Unit with the Prince George's County State's Attorneys Office, soccer mom, and still manages to always look put together with a fly outfit and heels. I honestly don't know how she does it, but she does it well! Ada is my former supervisor when I was a prosecutor, but we still keep in touch because she's awesome and always has good advice.
1. What does beautiful mean to you?
Beauty is a feeling that comes from within and does not rest on physical attributes alone. While everyone has the potential to be beautiful it exudes from some in ways that may be more apparent than in others. It is a feeling of self-confidence, strength, compassion that makes people enjoy sharing in your space.
2. What do I love about yourself?
I love a lot of things about myself. I love the life I've built for myself surrounded by people I feel so blessed to have in my life and the relationships I've maintained. I love my confidence, my passion for things important to me, my willpower and my self-motivation.
Fearless means to me: being able to take those steps you want or need to take despite doubts, vulnerabilities, or repercussions.
4. What has been the biggest turning point in your life?
The biggest turning point in my life: finding a way to continue every day after the sudden death of my husband who was my partner for 24 years. I've learned a lot about myself and have had to rely so much on my faith and an inner strength I didn't even know I possessed.
5. Tell me your story:
My story: in short, a mother of three amazing children, a person with an amazing array of friends and family, and a passionate and compassionate prosecutor. There is so much about my life that I appreciate and enjoy and I'm now focusing this "new phase" in my life on what truly brings me happiness.
